Brisbane tips
I know I asked this a while ago, but in case there are any changes or other recommendations.
Where are the must eats and must sees for Brisbane?
We leave in less than 2 weeks. We will also be traveling via gold coast so if there are any must eats there please pass them on.
Go to the Forest Cafe in West End. It's a bit expensive but the cakes and cookies are worth it!!

ReplyDeleteyou're right! i did overhear you talking to chad and i thought the cupcakes were hers! sorry about that - i've fixed it up and credited you with those marvelous things. they were cardamon right? was lovely meeting you too, have a great time in brisbane! it's a really good place to eating out. don't forget kuan yin in the valley, and there's those $3.50 amazing felafel rolls in west end if you're into that sort of thing!
ReplyDeletePhillipa, I'm staying in west end so I will look out for the cheap felafel rolls and will visit kuan yin and yes it was cardamon.
ReplyDeleteTheresa, thanks for the tip. It's the first place everyone recommends so it must be amazing!
Lean, that list is amazing, thanks!
I second Forest Cafe but I don't think it was expensive. About $12 for a plate with rice and 4 choices from the hot food bar or salads...when I was in Brisbane for work I ate there almost everyday for a week because the food was different daily and being vegan I could eat anything they had!! The burgers are good too and the cakes are great (actually, I think I got a bit cuddly from eating cake everyday simply because I could!!) I loved it. Kuan Yin was also good and cheap. The vego society in QLD has some good resources and probably has some info on their site. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteKwan Yin Tea House in Fortitude Valley was lovely.
